We will be commenting on the relationship between advertising and society from a critical perspective within a capitalistic society.
Some points of focus will be:
- the use of the female body to sell high-end consumer goods;
- portrayal of violence in advertising;
- the changing use of text and imagery in ads; and
- the overall creation of the consumer through the use of advertising.
